THE CHOCOLATE:

A delicate shell of our signature Marañon dark chocolate is filled with a smooth and rich pistachio cream made from vanilla white chocolate, house made pistachio paste, olive oil and sea salt. Our own authentic take on a chocolate bar that has become a staple all around the world.

HISTORY:

With records of being eaten dating all the way back as far as 6750 BC, the pistachio has been treasured by humans around the world for millennia. Likely originating in the middle east, through conquests and trading, pistachios were spread around the globe, cemented in many famous cuisines.

Today Pistachios are regarded as a high quality nut, and after the social media boom in late 2023 saw the world demanding pistachio filled chocolate bars, prices have begun to soar to new heights. At Lucid, despite not having released any pistachio bars officially, we have been working with them since the beginning, with notable tests being our delicious Pistachio white chocolate spread in 2020, and our hand dipped marzipans in 2022.

When the viral trend of pistachio chocolate bars began, we wanted to create something that didn’t adhere to the trend, but instead came of a more organic place. We knew we had to delve into a world that we hadn’t explored thoroughly yet - the world of filled bars; and we took our time to create something we are truly proud of.
